Dahana presented its Energetic Material products for both commercial and military sectors at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) 2025, held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from July 22 to 27, 2025. This participation is part of the Company’s strategy to expand its global market, explore potential collaborations with international partners, and highlight Indonesia’s capabilities in explosives technology.
In his remarks, Turkish President Erdoğan emphasized that the IDEF 2025 exhibition should not be viewed solely as a commercial activity or an international marketplace for defense industry products. He stressed that Turkey is ready and open to mutually beneficial cooperation.
“As I always say, the issue is not about spending. The real issue is building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. The focus should be on developing permanent cooperation alongside trade,” President Erdoğan stated, as quoted by Türkiye Today on July 22.
Dahana’s President Director, Hary Irmawan, highlighted that the company’s presence at IDEF was not just for exhibition purposes but was also a step towards expanding its global market, exploring strategic collaborations, and realizing the goal of establishing DEFEND ID as a key player in the global defense industry supply chain.
“We are here to introduce innovative energetic material products created by our nation’s youth and to explore strategic collaborations. This aligns with our grand vision of establishing DEFEND ID,” he said on the sidelines of the exhibition.
IDEF 2025 features over 1,500 companies from 78 countries and is expected to attract more than 100,000 professional visitors. Dahana is scheduled to hold several meetings and sign cooperation agreements with potential partners. At the exhibition, Dahana showcased mock-ups of various superior energetic material products and offered a range of services.
“In principle, we agree with President Erdoğan’s statement that we must be open to collaboration by building long-term partnerships in developing the defense industry. We hope this exhibition will reveal many opportunities for Dahana in the energetic material sector,” said Mr Irmawan.
In addition to Dahana, Indonesia was represented at the exhibition by delegations from the Ministry of Defense, PT Len Industri (Persero), PT PINDAD, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, and other Indonesian defense industry companies.
